    Job Summary:
    The Membership & Event Manager is primarily responsible for recruiting new members and retaining existing ones. They develop and lead membership drives, plan member activities, create and implement outreach strategies to engage with existing and potential members. The
    Membership & Event Manager is also responsible for the coordination of the companys members Annual General Meeting, maintaining a membership database, designing membership benefits, analyzing member trends & feedback and work to increase members' involvement.

    Apart from membership initiatives, the Membership & Event Manager role would also require them to organise events and conferences (both virtual and hybrid) that will contribute to the steady revenue creation of a profitable business unit. The tasks include researching for topics, speakers,
    securing venues, planning, managing the events calendar, negotiating quotes and agreements with vendors, assisting with event marketing, monitoring timeframes and budgets, networking, and effectively delivering the event objectives.

    This role requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. The Membership and Event Manager will work closely with various departments to ensure successful events and maintain a strong membership base.

    Key Responsibilities:
    Event Planning and Execution:
    • Develop a calendar and organise signature events, conferences, seminars and exhibitions and any other events to boost brand visibility and customer or member engagement through face-to-face, on-line or hybrid events.
    • Coordinate with sponsors, vendors, supporting partners and media to ensure their contributions align with event objectives.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless event execution, including marketing, communications, and technical support.
    • Plan and coordinate all aspects of events, including logistics, obtaining of permits, venue selection, resourcing for vendors, catering, entertainment, and AV requirements.
    • Develop event budgets, track expenses, and ensure events are executed within budget constraints.
    Membership Program Management:
    • Develop and implement strategies to attract new members and retain existing ones.
    • Respond to inquiries and provide information to potential and current members.
    • Monitor membership trends, prepare reports, and provide recommendations for improvement.
    • Develop and implement strategies to increase membership and engagement.
    • Plan and coordinate member meetings, networking sessions, and other engagement activities.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date membership records.
    Communication and Outreach:
    • Promote events and membership opportunities through various channels, including social media, email campaigns, and the organizations website.
    • Respond to inquiries from members, potential members, and event attendees in a timely and professional manner.
    Collaboration and Coordination:
    • Work closely with other departments to ensure events align with organizational goals and objectives.
    • Work closely with the marketing team to create relevant collateral such as backdrops, invitations, registration portals, website updates etc
    Data Analysis and Reporting:
    • Conduct and produce post-event evaluation to leverage learnings for future events.
    • Monitor and evaluate event and membership metrics to assess effectiveness and make improvements for future initiatives.
    • Generate regular reports on event attendance, membership growth, and engagement levels.
    Compliance and Risk Management:
    • Ensure events and membership practices adhere to Constitution & regulatory requirements.
    • Implement necessary risk management measures to mitigate potential issues.
    Team Leadership and Development:
    • Supervise and provide guidance to event and membership support staff, if applicable.
    • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
    • Other ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the Superiors.
