Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Resort Chinese Chef to join our culinary team. As a Chinese Chef, you will be responsible for creating and executing authentic Chinese cuisine in a resort setting. You will oversee the kitchen operations, manage a team of culinary professionals, and ensure the highest standards of food quality and presentation are consistently met. The ideal candidate will have a passion for Chinese cuisine, strong leadership skills, and a creative flair for menu development.

Responsibilities:

• Development: Develop innovative and authentic Chinese menus that appeal to resort guests while considering dietary restrictions and seasonal availability of ingredients.
• Preparation: Oversee the preparation and cooking of Chinese dishes, ensuring consistency and adherence to recipes and quality standards.
• Management: Manage all aspects of the kitchen operations including inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
• Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of culinary professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure high levels of productivity and morale.
• Control: Conduct regular inspections of food products to ensure freshness and quality, and enforce proper food safety and sanitation practices.
• Management: Monitor food costs and labor expenses to ensure budgetary goals are met while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Satisfaction: Work closely with the front-of-house staff to ensure guest satisfaction, address any concerns or special requests promptly, and maintain a positive dining experience.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with other resort departments such as event planning and marketing to create special dining experiences and promotions.
• Improvement: Stay updated on current culinary trends, techniques, and ingredients related to Chinese cuisine, and incorporate them into menu offerings and kitchen operations as appropriate.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Chinese Chef, with a focus on authentic Chinese cuisine.
• Culinary degree or relevant certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Chinese cooking techniques, ingredients, and flavors.
• Leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and a passion for creating high-quality dishes.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure gracefully.
• Familiarity with food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Hands-on experience and thrive in practical, action-oriented person
• Mandarin language skills preferred.
