    Description
    Job Title: Senior Accountant

    Duties And Responsibilities

    • Timely preparation of accurate financial reports for overseas operations in the United Kingdom.
    • Support day-to-day finance and administrative tasks.
    • Ensure monthly/quarterly reporting is completed on a timely basis, including relevant analytical reviews.
    • Timely and accurate close process, including submission to Group Finance for consolidation purposes.
    • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and Group policies.
    • Ensure accurate and timely submissions to relevant authorities.
    • Prepare tax forecasts and ensure timely review by tax agents, if required.
    • Manage and resolve tax compliance matters and tax audits, ensuring proper handling of taxation-related submissions and computations.
    • Liaise with external auditors for annual statutory external audits and any ad-hoc audits.
    • Coordinate with internal auditors for internal audit exercises, supervising the implementation of identified action points.
    • Manage banking-related matters and liaise with bankers.
    • Monitor cashflow position, highlighting any red flags.
    • Liaise with operators and joint venture partners for timely submission of joint venture statements, cash calls, and management accounts.
    • Ensure accurate financial reports from respective operators.
    • Provide monthly periodic forecasts on P&L.
    • Prepare annual budgets for the annual Business Plan.
    • Prepare audited financial statements for entity level.
    • Assist in the preparation of the Annual Report, mainly Group financial numbers.
    • Assist in the preparation of the Group annual business plan.
    • Undertake other ad-hoc duties as prescribed by the Chief Financial Officer and/or Senior Finance.

    Requirements And Qualifications

    • Possess at least a Degree in Accounting/Finance, CPA, ACCA, or relevant qualification.
    • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant working experience in auditing and/or accounting.
    • At least three (3) years of working experience in auditing.
    • Well-versed with MFRS/IFRS accounting and statutory financial statements requirements.
    • Strong organizational capabilities.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
    • Proficient in English.
    • Knowledge of SUN system and experience in the oil and gas industry are preferred.
    • Advantageous if possesses experience in JV accounting and group financial reporting.
    • Advantageous if experienced in KLSE (Bursa) reporting.
