- The role of the Securities Services Operations & Governance Manager is to primarily oversee all outsourced activities, including where the outsourced activity is undertaken by an affiliate of Citibank.
- Establish a sound internal governance structure that provides effective oversight and control over outsourcing arrangements, consistent with the financial institution's overall business strategy and risk appetite,
- Retain sufficient management capacity and skilled resources within the institution to oversee the outsourced activity, including where the outsourced activity is undertaken by an affiliate of the financial institution; and
- Ensure effective management of outsourcing risk, having regard to the assessments made by senior management on the state of compliance to the outsourcing risk management framework.
- Key liaison person with regulators, Bursa Malaysia and Securities Commission Malaysia with regards to SS Ops.
- Oversee operational support provided by outsourced vendors and conduct regular service reviews including annual renewal of statement of work (SOW) of all service providers to Securities Services Operations
- GRC Assessment Unit delegate - Ensure activity, risk, control and monitoring done in accordance to GRC conformance
- Provide updates to the Citi Berhad Operations & Technology Management and Board of Directors on key operational issues, changes or enhancements.
- Manage new initiatives proposed including new product proposals, outsourcing initiatives etc.
- Ensure that all operational aspects of the business are in compliant with relevant rules and regulations and Citi policies and guidelines.
- In addition to outsourcing governance, the candidate will also lead regional initiatives eg training, transformational efforts.
- The role reports to the Regional Custody Ops Head, with local reporting to Citi Berhad Operations & Technology Head and works with key stakeholders in the CSCs.
- Solid working experience in the Custody and Fund Administration industry, with experience in Third Party management.
- Sound knowledge of regulatory requirements pertaining to Securities Services business
- Familiar with Bank Negara Malaysia Bursa Malaysia, and Securities Commission related guidelines is an added advantage.
- Strong communication skills and stakeholder management skills
- Able to demonstrate knowledge in area of focus.
