    Key Responsibilities

    Middleware Design and Implementation:

    • Design and implement middleware solutions to facilitate communication and data flow between various banking systems.
    • Collaborate with architecture and development teams to ensure the middleware aligns with overall system architecture.

    Middleware Administration

    • Perform routine and proactive administration tasks for middleware components, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
    • Monitor middleware servers, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions in a timely manner.

    Integration Management

    • Design and manage integrations between different banking applications and systems using middleware technologies.
    • Collaborate with application development teams to integrate new solutions into the existing middleware architecture.

    Performance Optimization

    • Optimize middleware performance through configuration adjustments, tuning, and proactive monitoring.
    • Collaborate with infrastructure teams to ensure middleware resources meet system demands.

    Security And Compliance

    • Implement and maintain security measures for middleware components to protect data and ensure compliance with industry standards.
    • Conduct regular security assessments and implement necessary updates and patches.

    Troubleshooting And Issue Resolution

    • Identify and resolve middleware-related issues promptly to minimize impact on banking operations.
    • Collaborate with other IT teams to troubleshoot and resolve system and application integration challenges.

    Documentation

    • Maintain comprehensive documentation of middleware configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures.
    • Create and update documentation for middleware-related best practices.

    Collaboration With Stakeholders

    • Collaborate with various stakeholders, including application owners, infrastructure teams, and vendors, to ensure effective middleware operations.
    • Communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders as needed.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
    • Proven experience as a Middleware Specialist or in a similar role within the banking industry.
    • In-depth knowledge of middleware technologies such as IBM WebSphere, Apache Kafka, or Oracle WebLogic.
    • Strong understanding of integration patterns, messaging protocols, and service-oriented architecture (SOA).
    • Experience with security protocols, compliance standards, and best practices for middleware.
    • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
    • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
