- Design and implement middleware solutions to facilitate communication and data flow between various banking systems.
- Collaborate with architecture and development teams to ensure the middleware aligns with overall system architecture.
- Perform routine and proactive administration tasks for middleware components, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
- Monitor middleware servers, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions in a timely manner.
- Design and manage integrations between different banking applications and systems using middleware technologies.
- Collaborate with application development teams to integrate new solutions into the existing middleware architecture.
- Optimize middleware performance through configuration adjustments, tuning, and proactive monitoring.
- Collaborate with infrastructure teams to ensure middleware resources meet system demands.
- Implement and maintain security measures for middleware components to protect data and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Conduct regular security assessments and implement necessary updates and patches.
- Identify and resolve middleware-related issues promptly to minimize impact on banking operations.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to troubleshoot and resolve system and application integration challenges.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of middleware configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Create and update documentation for middleware-related best practices.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders, including application owners, infrastructure teams, and vendors, to ensure effective middleware operations.
- Communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Middleware Specialist or in a similar role within the banking industry.
- In-depth knowledge of middleware technologies such as IBM WebSphere, Apache Kafka, or Oracle WebLogic.
- Strong understanding of integration patterns, messaging protocols, and service-oriented architecture (SOA).
- Experience with security protocols, compliance standards, and best practices for middleware.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
