    We are looking for an Assistant Manager to manage the regional government relation and licensing portfolio and this individual will work with government agencies, local & international authorities, internal and external stakeholders. You will be based in Sepang, Malaysia and report directly to the Senior Manager, Trade and International Custom Compliance.

    SALARY RANGE : RM5,760 - RM8,640

    As a start up, you can expect your days to be pretty varied. Multitasking is normal, and sometimes, your skills or natural talents will be leveraged to support other business priorities. That said, the bulk of your working hours should involve you having to:

    Key job functions

  • Exercise oversight of licenses and authorizations; including application, renewal, usage, record keeping, and general administration
  • Identify and assess licensing requirements at local, regional, and international levels where the company operates
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team to clarify requirements, interpret results and ensure due diligence requirements are met
  • Identify and assess potential risks associated with licensing and regulatory compliance.
  • Responsible for building and nurturing relationships with relevant governments stakeholders
  • Understanding and familiarity with the regulatory and public policy within the industry
  • Liaise and coordinate with local authorities/agencies to resolve any incidents /risk issues
  • Work with the business teams, develop strategic action plans and initiatives to achieve company' business goals
  • SKILLS

    These are minimum-requirement skills and a 'must-have' for the role:

  • Direct experience with customs and trade compliances in China/ASEAN region
  • Experience in handling import / export in China/ASEAN Region
  • Experience or having right network in liaising with countries authorities pertaining to local legal requirements to setup business particular on licensing matters
  • Possess analytical and strategic thinking abilities with excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Multilingual preferable, best fluent in English, Malay/Indonesian, Mandarin proficiency preferable but not compulsory
  • Regulatory legal or technical experience in business setup at overseas
  • Preferable with international custom knowledge but not must
  • Degree in field related (international business or equivalent)
  • Min 5 years working experience directly related to field
