Primary Objective:

Management and administration of Group RDBMS and Database (DB) Appliance includes maintaining Enterprise and Cloud Management systems (OEM), monitoring database services availability, performance tuning and capacity management, troubleshoot issues/errors and provide resolutions, installation and configuration, database recovery, ensure database integrity and security

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain Group RDBMS infrastructure, database appliance and cloud service (DBaaS) to ensure ease of management and agility of database environment
• Identify and configure key parameters in Grid management system for pro-active database monitoring & management and to achieve high system availability and performance
• Review and perform all required RDBMS patches and ensure fixes are applied according to release from respective service providers to keep the database secure, safe, stable and available at all times
• Review, analyze and manage all RDBMS errors with proper logging to service providers and follow up until conclusion including resolution deployment where necessary.
• Install all new RBDMS software and databases creation according to recommended database management standards, policies and best practices to ensure consistency, effectiveness and operational efficiency of the database environment
• Monitor, review and evaluate all systems storage requirement including RAW disk management and develop capacity plan to forecast database growth
• Review and diagnose database slow performance with root cause analysis and propose steps for improvement that leads to overall improve application system performance
• Perform periodic analysis of database statistics and performance metrics to prevent any potential database performance degradation and other resource contention
• Implement a robust and trustworthy disaster recovery model to meet defined RPO and RTO
• Monitor and perform database backup to ensure successful recovery of data up to the point required by the business in the event of a disaster.
• Conform to establish database standards, checklist and ensure processes adhere and comply to Group Security, Group Audit, BNM, BOT, Brunei and MAS guidelines, policies and ISO/IEC ITSM)
• Prepare RDBMS all documentations, procedures and operational manual for effective planning reference, control and operational standard
• Provide 24×7 on call DBA support for Group RDBMS on rotation and need basis to fix any system anomalies Requirements Requirements:

Bachelor Degree - Any related field(s).

• ITIL V3 Foundation Certified preferred
• Oracle/MSSQL Certified Professional preferred
• More than 6 year experience in database maintenance and administration of group IT RDBMS
• Deep technical knowledge of various RDBMS and operating System architecture and concepts with strong troubleshooting skills
• More than 2 year experience in OEM environment
• Good interpersonal, communication and relationship building skills
• Multi OS experience such as Windows, AIX,HP-UX, Solaris and Linux
• Microsoft Office skills
