    Summary

    The Associate Engineer, Manufacturing Process is responsible for designing, developing, deploying and optimizing processes for manufacturing to achieve quality cost and delivery goals for Celestica and its customers products.

    Detailed Description

    Job Responsibilities :


    • Engineer for SMT and Frontend Equipments (solder paste printer, Pick & place, reflow, wave soldering), incharge of SMT equipment and line setup for the plant.


    • Involve in new technology and improvement for SMT related.


    • Maintain and sustain the daily SMT line manufacturing process to ensure quality and output.


    • Manage day to day operations support related matters.


    • Manage overall equipment downtime, improving the overall SMT related yields & SMT OEE


    • Manage downtime for the entire front end SMT process & equipment

    Job Requirements


    • Bachelor of Degree in any Engineering fields


    • More than 3 years working experience in SMT or Wave or Process Engineering process.


    • Able to lead and manage a group of Technician and Engineering operators for day to day tasks.


    • Familiar with SMT PCBA processes reflow profiling, manual insertion, wave soldering, selective soldering, system assembly and rework.


    • Understanding DFM rules and wave solder process guidelines.


    • Knowledge in IPC and J-STD standard.


    • Good in setting up SPC, PFMEA, 8D & 5 WHY analysis.


    • Good exposure with Surface Mount Technology (SMT) is an added advantage


    • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools a plus

    Physical Demands

  • Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.
  • Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.
  • Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
