    Position: Regional Support Engineer (RSE) - Lahad Datu, Sabah

    Job Responsibilities:

    As a key member of our dynamic IT team, the successful candidate will be tasked with the following responsibilities:

    • Overseeing the installation, testing, and commissioning of network and system infrastructure to ensure optimal performance.
    • Administering comprehensive management of LAN/WAN networking and data communication technologies, including, but not limited to, routers, wireless LAN, VPN, security devices and network switches.
    • Managing network connectivity by meticulously diagnosing problems through the examination of the physical and logical connections of devices.
    • Continuously monitoring system performance, proactively identifying potential issues, and implementing swift resolutions to maintain system integrity.
    • Providing troubleshooting and resolutions for both local and wide area network issues, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to users.
    • Attending to both corrective and preventive maintenance tickets, addressing and resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner.
    • Assisting users in identifying and resolving network and system issues, offering clear guidance and support to ensure seamless operation.
    • Participating in the preparation of technical reports and related documentation to ensure all activities and resolutions are well-documented for future reference.
    • This position is offered on a yearly renewable contractual basis, and the successful candidate will be based in Lahad Datu, Sabah.

    Requirements:

    • Diploma in Information Technology or an equivalent qualification.
    • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in IT, specifically in network and hardware support.
    • Proficient in software and hardware troubleshooting methods.
    • Quick learner, diligent, and possesses strong problem-solving skills.
    • Availability for on-call duty during weekends and public holidays is required (allowance provided)
    • Must have personal transportation.
