- Build and maintain a strong working relationship with front office, provide support and independent control over their trading and sales activities; and understand their expectations of the Global Markets Middle Office function within area's that impact trading results in order to drive consistent outcomes across the business and improve analytics (risk, operations, systems).
- Play an integral part in the growth and development of the business by improving Front to Back operational efficiencies, controls and mitigate operational risk
- Ensure that accurate reports for management on Key Performance & Risk Indicators (KPI and KRI) for example: Cancel & Corrects, Late trades, duplicate trades are created and delivered in a timely manner. Provide value added analysis of results and suggestion to reduce KRI and improve KPIs.
- Ensure agreed turnaround time for client/counterpart requests are met and constantly improve service quality.
- Manage the centralization and maintenance of Market and Static Data Team.
- Ensure integrity and accuracy of trade validation, position reconciliation and escalation of breaks across all asset classes in a timely manner.
- Ensure integrity and accuracy of EOD rates data saved in system for daily revaluation and mitigate operational risks around the manual process.
- Ensure collateral requirements under agreements such as CSA and GMRA are monitored and managed adequately.
- Ensure strong governance environment is maintained (position reconciliations and audit issues addressed) to the various facets of infrastructure build out and providing independent control.
- Ensure successful testing, roll out and implementation of projects and initiatives involving Middle Office. Reviewing current process and recommending controls and processes at global standards.
