    About the Role

    Contributes to Finance and Accounting Operations in overseeing and managing bank reconciliation team and processes efficiently and in ensuring end-to-end controls and processes are in accordance with SOP.

    Roles & Responsibilities :

  • Oversee, review and manage AIAMY bank reconciliation accounts to ensure reasonable and justifiable balances and ageing. Ensure regular and consistent improvement to unreconciled items with system enhancement/LEAN processes/automation, with aim to achieve optimal auto-matching.
  • Review and report bank reconciliation monthly and quarterly position to management with irregularities (if any) all flagged and escalated with ample explanations, actions taken/planned and proposed solutions where necessary. Ensure planned actions and solutions are followed-through.
  • Manage the team to ensure bank recon queries or requests from internal /external auditors / regulators / services recipients are attended to within service level agreed.
  • Identify training needs for self and team to ensure relevant skills are upgraded with continual personal development plans. Cultivate a high-performing team with habits to value-add.
  • Collaborate with business/vendors for opportunities/solutions to comprehensive, fool-proof and sustainable transaction records and for optimal reconciliation process.
  • Regularly review processes and controls with look-out for risks and/or control gaps and then follow-through with solutions or proposals in mitigation. Ensure SOPs are updated and adhered to.
  • Set, agree and continuously review targets by AIAMY entities bank reconciliation position and work on and monitor plans and milestones with the team to achieve them. Always with mindset to empower the team and also work together to remove obstacles to success.
  • Min Job Requirements :

  • Possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent.
  • 2 to 5 years of working experience preferably in insurance or financial industry.
  • Analytical with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Knowledge using SAP or end-user tools will be an added advantage.
  • Independent yet flexible working in teams and is able to work under pressure and meeting deadlines.
  • Desire to lean and improve processes with aim to achieve sustainable results.
