    Description

    As a strength and conditioning coach, your primary responsibility is to design, implement, and oversee comprehensive training programs aimed at enhancing athletic performance, injury prevention, and overall physical conditioning of athletes. You will work closely with athletes, coaches, and sports medicine professionals to develop tailored programs that address individual and team needs.

    Responsibilities

    Player Assessment:

    Conduct thorough physical assessments of individual players to determine baseline fitness levels, strengths, weaknesses, and injury risks. Analyse assessment data to design personalized training programs for each player.

    Program Development:

    Develop and implement structured strength and conditioning programs aimed at improving players' strength, power, speed, agility, and endurance. Tailor programs are based on position-specific requirements and individual player needs.

    Collaboration with Coaching Staff:

    Work closely with the coaching staff to align strength and conditioning programs with the overall coaching philosophy and game strategy. Collaborate on player development strategies and address specific physical demands of the game.

    Injury Prevention:

    Design and implement injury prevention programs to reduce the risk of common football-related injuries.

    Incorporate rehabilitation exercises and corrective strategies into training routines.

    Nutrition Guidance:

    Guide proper nutrition and hydration to optimize performance, recovery, and overall health.

    Collaborate with nutritionists and sports dietitians to create comprehensive nutrition plans.

    Rehabilitation Support:

    Assist in the rehabilitation process for injured players, working closely with sports medicine professionals.

    Develop and implement strength and conditioning plans for players returning from injuries.

    Monitoring and Evaluation:

    Monitor and evaluate players' progress, adjusting training programs as needed.

    Implement performance testing and assessments to measure improvements and identify areas for further development.

    Education and Communication:

    Educate players on the importance of proper strength and conditioning.

    Communicate effectively with players, coaching staff, and other stakeholders regarding program goals, expectations, and progress.

    Research and Professional Development:

    Stay updated on the latest research, trends, and advancements in strength and conditioning.

    Pursue continuous professional development through certifications, workshops, and conferences.

    Record Keeping:

    Maintain accurate records of players' training programs, progress, and any relevant health information.

    Provide reports and updates to coaching staff and management as needed.

    Emergency Preparedness:

    Be prepared to respond to emergencies related to player health or injuries during training sessions.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Sports Science, or any related field.
    • Minimum AFC 'C' coaching license. (Individuals with an AFC Strength and Conditioning certificate are encouraged to apply)
    • Previous experience in strength and conditioning coaching, preferably in football.
    • Strong knowledge of football-specific physical demands and training methodologies.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
