    Description

    What success looks like in this role:

  • Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes.
  • Reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backup and etc.
  • Involves in project management, assist in implementing, testing and maintaining the server level & system level applications.
  • Support a major client-server & multi-sites based in-house business application system.
  • Involve in day to day end user support issue and investigation /troubleshooting.
  • Managing server virtualization technologies like Microsoft Hyper-V/Virtual Server.
  • Create and maintain regular statistic and documentation for all IT processes and procedures.
  • Interact with customers and staff at the technical level, as required
  • Be the right hand man to System Support Manager in leading team of system support personnel be it in project or in day to day activities.

    You will be successful in this role if you have:

  • Associate's degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
  • Minimum 3-4 years of working experience in systems administration, application support, hardware and networking administration will be an advantage.
  • Working knowledge of Windows network and Windows Server Operating Systems (Windows Server 2012 & above).
  • End user application support experience with any client server based application running on Microsoft SQL server.
  • Hands on working experience on Microsoft SQL 2016 and above. Able to write simple SQL queries for investigation purposes.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • A team player with good communication & interpersonal skills.
  • Possess the logic required to analyze and resolve highly complex technical and business problems.
  • Require to work on shift hours – 2 working shift hours. Morning shift 9am-5.30pm, Evening Shift 2pm-10.30pm.
  • There is a support phone rotation with allowance. Person who is holding support phone is responsible to attend to client support call from 4pm-4am/4am-4pm. It's not often to get call in support phone, occasionally occurrence.
  • Participate in night support and on-call to handle system related issues.
  • It is an advantage to have experience in SANs Storage.
