    Job Title: Finance Director/ Chief Financial Officer

    Reporting To: Managing Director of Kitar Solutions

    Job Purpose:

    The Finance Director/CFO is central to the financial and strategic leadership of the Joint Venture, tasked with reinforcing the organization's foundation for sustainable growth and profitability. This role demands a strategic partnership with the management team and operational units to deliver on financial commitments, ensuring operational excellence and compliance across the board.

    Through diligent planning, reporting, and governance, the CFO will steer the JV towards achieving its financial goals while fostering an environment of integrity and excellence. The CFO is also responsible for enhancing internal capabilities, managing key stakeholder relationships, and ensuring transparent communication with shareholders and the Board of Directors. Ultimately, this role is pivotal in shaping the JV's financial strategy, driving business success, and upholding the highest standards of financial stewardship.

    Job Description

    • Leadership: Serve as a pivotal member of the Management team, reinforcing the JV's business structure and foundation, propelling profitability and growth, and crafting sustainable business strategies while fostering an exceptional organizational culture and environment.
    • Partnerships: Collaborate closely with the Operations team to meet the JV's financial objectives, including order intake, revenue, profitability, and cash flow management.
    • Excellence: Maintain a central role in enhancing functional and operational discipline, formulating and executing strategies, and streamlining business processes for profitable growth and sustainability.
    • and Compliance: Champion controllership, compliance, and integrity across the JV, exemplifying leadership and influencing the organizational culture towards these ideals.
    • Planning and Analysis: Oversee the preparation and management of the Business Plan and Budget for Board approval, rigorously comparing actual financials against plans, and devising strategies to achieve financial targets.
    • Integration: Ensure seamless coordination with Corporate Services and partner teams (including Legal, HR & Payroll, Treasury, Company Secretary, and Finance) to optimize support and deliverables.
    • Development: Direct the strategic planning and execution of the JV's in-house capabilities, including liaising with external Tax Consultants, exploring Treasury management options with banks, and planning the internalization of HR and Payroll functions.
    • Reporting: Guarantee timely, accurate, and compliant financial reporting to partners and shareholders, adhering to local and international standards (MFRS for Sapura Energy, IFRS for AF Gruppen).
    • Analysis: Conduct and present a comprehensive quarterly company performance analysis for the Board, highlighting insights and driving decision-making.
    • and Compliance: Manage the annual audit process, coordinating with external auditors to ensure the prompt issuance of audited financial statements for statutory purposes.

    Job Requirements

    • Minimum of 10 years in Group Financial Reporting in any of public listed companies or equivalent
    • Bachelor's degree in accountancy or any professional qualification.
    • CIMA/ MACPA etc. holder
    • Member of Malaysian Institute of Accountancy (MIA)

    Skill / Attributes / Competencies

    • technical knowledge on Financial Reporting Standards, Bursa Malaysia and Oslo Bors Listing Requirements.
    • capability in managing team including staff coaching and development
    • and hands-on experience in preparing and reviewing consolidated financial statements and quarterly announcement of a public listed company
    • high sense of responsibility and dedicated to complete any particular task
    • communication and interpersonal skill as well as sound analytical and problem-solving skills.
