Job Overview

The FOH Manager is responsible for leading and managing all Front of House operations to ensure consistent service excellence, customer satisfaction, revenue performance, operational control, and halal service integrity.

While food production quality remains under Kitchen authority, the FOH Manager is accountable for food presentation standards, order accuracy, service delivery quality, and overall guest dining experience.

This role ensures that Seloka Café maintains operational discipline, brand consistency, financial control, and halal compliance in all front-facing activities.

Job Description (Key Responsibilities)

Operational Leadership

  • Oversee daily FOH operations and service flow
  • Ensure smooth coordination between FOH and kitchen
  • Monitor service speed and dining turnover

Service & Customer Experience

  • Ensure professional, warm and efficient service delivery
  • Handle customer complaints and execute service recovery
  • Monitor customer satisfaction and online feedback

Food Presentation & Delivery Control (Shared Accountability)

  • Ensure correct order delivery to customers
  • Verify food presentation before serving
  • Ensure food reaches guests at appropriate temperature
  • Communicate food quality feedback to Head Chef
  • Escalate recurring food issues to kitchen management

Sales & Revenue

  • Monitor daily sales performance
  • Drive upselling and promotional campaigns
  • Ensure menu knowledge across all FOH staff

Cash & Financial Control

  • Supervise POS operations and daily closing
  • Ensure zero cash discrepancies
  • Control FOH-related inventory (beverages, disposables, front counter stock)

Team Management

  • Train, coach and evaluate FOH staff
  • Conduct performance reviews
  • Enforce discipline and SOP compliance

Halal Compliance (FOH Scope)

  • Ensure no outside food or non-halal items enter dining area
  • Ensure beverages and front-of-house products are halal-approved
  • Maintain clean and segregated service areas
  • Immediately report any suspected halal breach
  • Educate FOH staff on halal service sensitivity

Job Requirements

  • More than 5 years experience in F&B service
  • Minimum 3 years in supervisory or managerial role
  • Strong leadership and operational management skills
  • Experience handling POS systems and daily cash reconciliation
  • Able to work shifts, weekends and public holidays
