    We are currently looking for an experienced Host - Sales & Event Executive to join us in this exciting journey with the first Hyatt House in South East Asia.

    This position reports directly to the Director of Sales.

    An individual with an entrepreneurial spirit and a prominent member within the industry, you will be confident and driven in your approach. You are business savvy and are known for your ability to communicate and negotiate at all levels, are detail orientated and must be able to problem-solve with employees and guests. Must be able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and be constantly hands on and ready to lend expertise within other departments of the hotel.

    Qualifications

    Key Qualifications & Duties:

    Education: Certificate or Higher Education Levels in Hospitality and Tourism Management, Marketing or any major related field, Minimum 2 years work experience in event, sales & marketing

    Language Skills: A good working knowledge of English Language/ Proficiency in local language may be required

    Experience: Relevant work experience in hotel operations is an advantage

    Strong interpersonal communication skills, negotiation skill, sales and upselling tactical skills

    Ability to do multi-tasking

    Desire to drive revenue and committed to the growth of the hotel

    Pleasant personality

    Working closely with Corporate Sales Team

    Liaise with clients and customers to coordinate corporate events whilst building rapport and creating professional relationships.

    Optimize and expand distribution partnerships

    Challenge and influence the Hotel to improve service level and operational standards

    Ensures that an efficient and accurate filing system, both manually as well as electronically is maintained at all times.

    Maintains complete and supported records of all Sales Agreements, Contracts and Quotations for the hotel.

    Establishes an efficient trace File to ensure that all business booked is properly tracked.

    Assists in consolidating and preparing Sales report.

    Handles guest and employee enquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, reporting complaints or problems.If no immediate solution can be found, to ensure that the necessary follow-up is conducted in a timely manner.

    Assists to conduct extensive competitor research and maintains excellent Product Knowledge of the Hotel.

    Be aware of community, business, political and social factors that may affect the hotel's financial performance.

    Carefully plans Sales Calls into defined objectives.

    Follows up sales leads to identify prospect.

    Ensures a high level of exposure for hotel through direct sales solicitation of telephone contact and written communications.

    Professionally conducts routine telemarketing activities to identify new accounts.

    Handles all business and leisure groups and provides excellent services to meeting planner and meeting guests.

    Entertains and conducts hotel inspections to clients whenever required.

    Ensures to achieve or exceed the monthly and yearly target of room sales assigned by DOS.

    Liaises and works closely with the related operation departments ensuring guests requests and expectation are being met.

    Prepares and ensures all Events Orders are distributed to concerned department on a timely manner.

    Assists the Senior Sales Managers to follow up on all matters in the absence of the Director of Sales

    Supports the implementation of The People Brand, demonstrating and reinforcing Hyatt's Values and Culture Characteristics.

    Exercises responsible behaviour at all times and positively representing the hotel team and Hyatt International.

    Responds to changes in the Sales and Marketing function as dictated by the industry, company and hotel.

    Attends and contributes to all training sessions and meetings as required.

    Carry out all/reasonable duties/task as assigned by the Director of Sales that are within the parameters of Hyatt's Values and Purpose.
