    Description

    The Quality Control Manager is responsible in leading the quality engineering and lab technician functions to lead proactive product optimization and risk reduction. You will lead the future state roadmap for lab transformation to ensure efficient testing efforts with testing and predictive quality methods. EHS and 5S is essential to ensure the safety of all personnel and maintain the standards in the plant. The QA Manager will manage the certifications and customer audit compliance and have previously worked in a manufacturing plant in production or quality control. You will be reporting directly to Plant Manager.

    Key Responsibilities


    •Ensure the plant EHS requirements adherence by the quality team.


    •Member of PJ Plant Leadership team.


    •EHSMS Element Ownership – EHS Documentation.


    •Lead Plant Quality Improvement Initiatives driving year on year continuous improvement.


    •Maintain lab Quality System following ISO9001 & TS16949 and customer specific requirements ensuring zero non-conformance to certification and customer requirements. Lead corrective actions to address any findings for audits / certification quality department.


    •Responsible for lab Quality data analysis for year over year improvement.


    •Responsible for Customer Complaints (CAIR) and Continuous Improvement activities driving Defects Reduction.


    •Responsible for color matching and coating properties adjustment to meet the specification.


    •QC Lab management, assure testing meeting testing methods, and testing reliability.


    •Responsible for Finish goods testing and release for shipping to customer.


    •Non-conforming material handling and control, leading team root cause analysis and actions for reducing non-conformance and reducing non-conforming material working with suppliers.


    •Ensure the lab meet the requirement of Customer and Certification audits.


    •Ensure First Lot Control and Supervision/Hand-Over takes place according to requirements.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry from recognized institutes of higher learning.
  • 5 years of experience from automotive industry and familiar with Chemical / Coatings production.
  • Experience with ISO9001/TS16949 requirements and having ISO9001/TS16949 auditor certification.
  • Familiar with automotive OEM quality requirement and related procedures
  • Knowledge in automotive quality tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, QFD).
  • Good proficiency in English and PC skills especially on data analysis area.
  • Have Six Sigma Black / Green Belt are added advantage.
