- Sourcing of local suppliers
- Negotiation for and procurement of BOM materials including Metal commodity and implements provisions of Purchase Order and other contracts e.g. Consignment Agreement, VMI, etc.
- Work hand in hand with Global Sourcing Managers in the implementation of commodity sourcing strategies at site.
- Project Management - Drive cross-functional(Supply Chain Management, Engineering (CPE), Production) teams to achieve yearly cost reduction targets.
- Preparation of Quarterly & Monthly Spend & Savings Report
- Ensure supply continuity during ramp-up's and manages suppliers during slow down's; manages phase-in/phase-out plans for material purchases for new products and discontinued products.
- Facilitates timely arrival of qualification samples and communicate to supplier new development-related projects.
- Ensure P2P compliance in assigned commodities (BOM) including payment coordination and resolution of any payment concern.
- Vendor performance assessment through quarterly SRS (Supplier Rating System) and review meeting with suppliers
- Assessment and measurement of vendor performance through supplier quality system audit and process capability audit, and follow through on mutually agreed quality improvement programs.
- Manage/Qualify Supplier performance in terms of quality, cost, delivery, technology and service, in order to achieve best-in-class supply base.
- Maintain close relationship with supplier's key account manager, to ensure proper deployment of company requirements at supplier and be the focal point for any escalations towards supplier.
- Performs supplier tiering within organization to ensure all strategic, key and commercial suppliers are classified and strategy developed around their importance.
- Accountable for regular performance SRS (supplier rating scorecard) & business reviews with suppliers.
- Bachelor (or higher) degree, preferably from Engineering, Procurement or Supply Chain background.
- At least over 10 years related working experience in electronic/semi-conductor field.
- Experience working in manufacturing environment is a plus.
- Excellent people management skills and negotiation skills in handling / building internal & external vendor relationships.
- Ability to drive Project Management with strong leadership capabilities.
- Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management.
- Interested in fast paced environment, market dynamics with good business sense.
- High sense of urgency with the ability to prioritize to meet required KPIs & deadlines.
- Demonstrate strong customer-service attitude.
- Ability to gather and analyze data and work with figures.
- Solid judgments with ability to make good decisions.
- A knack for negotiating and networking.
- High level of integrity with strong emphasis on meeting commitments
- Technical knowledge on semiconductor direct materials is an added advantage.
