    About The Role
    The primary focus of Civil Engineering Lead is to provide both technical and commercial leadership and grow a profitable and viable Civil Engineering team within the Malaysia offices to support buildings and infrastructure projects. The role is expected to develop local capabilities in the area of Civil Engineering consultancy and deliver projects.
    A PEPC is mandatory to perform as Design Manager / QP of projects undertaken by Civil Engineering team.

    What will I do?

  • Act as QP / Design Manager for projects within the unit where you will review and supervise the civil engineering design works therby ensuring the development and performance of the overall team.
  • Leading by providing civil engineering input on total project delivery for a broad range of projects within the general Infrastructure engineering area.
  • To prepare project reports for clients summarising civil engineering issues and strategically advising on best outcomes taking into account the total context in which the client operates.
  • To advise Senior Management in general, and report on issues relating to the growth and development of the civil engineering business for Arup in Malaysia.
  • What will I bring?

  • At least 12 years of professional experience as a Professional Engineer in Malaysia. PEPC (Civil)
  • Experience in leading and managing projects, including the supervision of multi-disciplinary project teams.
  • Experience in the effective technical supervision and development of less experience team members.
  • Ability to effectively manage workload and deliver a high standard, even when demands are significant.
  • Substantial knowledge of the local marketplace, including critical issues and a sound client network.
