    Description

    As a Finance Business Partner, you will be required to use financial data to help departments make smart decisions that drive growth and profitability. You'll work closely with leaders to understand goals, analyze trends, and adapt strategies to the fast-paced fintech world. Ultimately, you're there to be a trusted advisor and support the organization's success in a changing market.

    What will you do

    • Support the development and implementation of best financial practices in project management and accounting
    • Monitor all relevant project budget/income and expenditure for each project
    • Review and ensure all customer and sub-con contracts, quotations, RFQ and other documentation are completed and compliance with group policies and procedures
    • Review project budget and ensure update to date for month end closing
    • Provide information for accruals of sub-con to GL team for accruals purpose
    • Review and reconciliation CWIP, deferred revenue, prepaid cost and advance maintenance costs and fees
    • Provide details on by project (revenue, GP) and intercompany revenue, cost of sales, CWIP and POC to group reporting for consolidation elimination
    • Liaise with internal auditor and external auditor on project management and accounting by providing requested schedules, addressing auditor inquiries and resolving audit issues
    • Prepare revenue and cost forecast
    • Business Partnering with FBP, AR, AP, GL team in order to develop processes and the understanding of financial requirements
    • Preparation of annual budget and monthly forecast.
    • Provide various management reports to FBP and financial accounting & reporting team
    • Provide regular review, high level analysis and monitoring of financial performance of entity.
    • Collaborate with operations to monitor the pipeline, track against budget and highlight to Management for action if there is a risk of tracking behind budget
    • Develop and publish financial metrics, calling attention to opportunities and risks and recommend for improvements that will lead to cost reduction, revenue generation and streamlining operations
    • Monitor the project billing timely
    • Track and monitor actual KPIs and financial performance against budget / forecast
    • Other ad-hoc financial analyses

    What you will need

    • Possess a Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting or professional qualification in Accountancy
    • Minimum 4-5 years of relevant working experience (those with experience from the Big 4 are preferred)
    • Familiarity with forecasting, budget and data analysis
    • Deep understanding of key accounting concepts, financial controls, standards and reporting
    • Strong verbal and written communications skills
    • Flexible and proactive approach to achieving team and business goals
    • Self-starter with the ability to think innovatively to find solutions for key stakeholders
    • Ability to work in a fast paced and ambiguous environment
    • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, organisational and critical thinking skills with serious commitment to job responsibility and quality
    • Hands-on working experience with Excel, Powerpoint and accounting software
    • Be willing to be based in Taman Desa, KL (old Klang road)
