Job Description

Key Accountabilities

• Execute the established Colour management procedures & contribute to the reforms in the area of entire Decorative colour offer by streamlining Colour offer expansion, shade card approval process, shade standard maintenance & G-data/Mixman III / Mix2winNext management.
• To develop colors formulae for POST and Institutional accurate and consistent color delivery for decorative paints business. To support for POST colourants for implementation in all ASEAN countries.
• Ensure pigment standard management procedures. Develop cost optimal colour offers for all innovated as well as renovated products.
• Carry out colour benchmarking for better market understanding. Support SESAME region for different regional projects related to colour.
• To prepare k/s mixture panels for k/s calculation and BAM panels for products and to generate optimized color recipes for all products.
• To give technical support to plant for quality check and control of different processes involved.
• To support for the raw material contingency projects for POST and solvent based clourants. Develop knowledge base in machine dispensers to deliver competitive edge.

Key Activities

• Take initiatives in understanding the competition colour offer so as to delivery and benchmark our system.
• Color standard Management: Creating the digital shade data along with physical shade standards for Plant QA.
• Colorants processing & development in lab for POST Colorants. Establishing the shade card approval process with vendors.
• Monitoring the shade card durability & deciding the output quality of Vendor's product.
• Review dry pigment standard management and Dramatone standard management procedures and establish the changes.
• Audit plant QA for color protocol compliance.
• Machine management by updating new data bases and color software on regular basis.
• Take individual responsibility for generation of k/s databases for various products with better understanding on product alignment.
• Plant support: Support the various product groups during base modification & development by sharing the requirements of color matching.
• Support plant QA on Test & validation for bases and POST Colorants.
  
  Color recipes generation from CaRMA and updating into G-Data base. Mix2Win Next Database preparation for rollout to market for SESAME region.

Job Requirement

• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Minimum of Diploma or above education level in Chemistry or Science based courses
• Good communication skills in English
• Field of Experience: Coatings preferably in water-based paints, Construction Chemicals, latex etc.
• Very good analytical ability Conversant with Paint testing and Test Methods
