    Details

    External Regulatory compliance design at GHO comprises of Major and Minor compliance risk areas (CRA).

    Assisting in coordinating with Risk and Compliance representatives in Divisions to identify, assess and formulate mitigating measures for the CRA associated with the Group's current and proposed future business activities.

    Monitor development of regulatory requirement trends within the group's footprint that requires attention.

    Assisting in identifying potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk; developing/ implementing corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues; and providing general guidance on mitigating or deal with similar situations in the future.

    Assisting in instituting and maintaining an effective compliance communication programmes for the Group by taking reasonable steps to communicate periodically and in a practical manner the standards and procedures, and other aspects of the compliance and ethics programmes. Assisting in establishing and/ or supervising appropriate compliance checks and controls.

    Collaborating with internal parties (e.g. GRM, GCA, Group Human Resource, etc.) to direct compliance issues to appropriate existing channels for to operationalise mitigation plans of CRAs.

    Monitoring, and when necessary, coordinating compliance activities of other departments to remain abreast of the status of all compliance activities.

    Support the internal compliance team on regulatory compliance monitoring questionnaires for each CRA, leading to constructive SORMIC.

    Assisting in managing the whistleblowing channels and processes. Engaging with the external parties (e.g. regulatory authorities) and peer companies (e.g. government linked companies) on compliance related matters and sharing of best practices. Liaise with Head, Group Compliance and Integrity and team, to assist in reporting to Senior Independent Director on whistleblowing matters on a day to day basis. Ad-hoc engagements with Division MD (based on nature of whistleblowing cases) as well as investigators (e.g. GCAD / HR) to monitor and follow-up on cases from inception to closure.
