    General Area Manager (Brown Cafe Malaysia)

    Kota Kinabalu, Sabah

    Bar & Beverage Staff (Hospitality & Tourism)

    The GENERAL AREA MANAGER is responsible for consistently delivering results that contribute to the mission and overall success of the brand by accomplishing performance objectives focused on business revenues, customers and stakeholder satisfaction.

    Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

    ● Formulate fruitful business development strategies to ensure long-term success of the brand

    ● Assist upper management in decisions for expansion or acquisition

    ● Contacting potential clients to establish rapport and arrange meetings.

    ● Planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives to improve sales (work closely with the marketing department).

    ● Researching organizations and individuals to find new opportunities including attending conferences, meetings and industry events.

    ● Increasing the value of current customers while attracting new ones.

    ● Developing quotes and proposals for clients.

    ● Developing goals, standards and objectives for the development team and business growth and ensuring they are met.

    ● Optimize and oversee operations to ensure efficiency

    ● Lead a team of store managers towards effective collaboration and attainment of goals

    ● Undertake sound financial management to ensure stores are profitable and stay within budget

    ● Deal with problems by providing creative and practical solutions (Frequent

    follow-up or check-in with different stores)

    ● Evaluate performance using key metrics and address issues to improve the

    brand

    ● Report to senior executives and stakeholders on progress and issues faced by the brand

    Education & Experience required:

    ● Preferably with Diploma or BSc/BA in business administration, retail management or similar field

    ● Knowledge of performance evaluation metrics and principles

    ● Proven experience as area manager, store manager, assistant manager or

    similar managerial role

    ● Sound understanding of optimization of store operations and standards for success

    ● Working knowledge of ERP software (preferred)

    ● Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities

    ● Excellent organizational and leadership abilities

    ● Strong business acumen with a strategic orientation

    ● Excellent problem-solving abilities including identifying organizational or employee-related issues and create effective solutions

    ● Working closely with different departments within different stores to ensure

    adherence to organizational standards and guidelines

    ● Meet regularly with store manager to provide critical feedback and encouragement

    ● Create and deliver reports to stakeholders and business owners and maintain effective meeting notes

    ● Additional advantage to converse in Mandarin
