    Job Description

    As an Trainer at MMP, you will be responsible for training of new operators as well as re-certification of existing operators to meet quality of process and product. In this role you will also need to communicate any process/piece-part/flow changes to the line, work with Supervisor to improve operator performance/efficiency. Other responsibilities include contributing to the safe work environment by following safety procedures and promptly reporting identified hazards.

    Responsibilities and Tasks

    Train and Certify Team Members

  • Communicate training and personnel issues to leadership
  • Schedule training, cross-training, and certifications for team members
  • Create and maintain training goals worksheet and cross-training spreadsheets if applicable
  • Use planning/implementation/evaluation approach to train team members
  • Set training goals
  • Spend adequate time with the trainee to ensure confidence and understanding
  • Ensure new team members have a training resource at all times
  • Serve as a resource for team members
  • Conduct training on process and equipment changes
  • Use TRAIN program to assign profiles and place team members In Training status
  • Inform team members of area issues and changes during shift meetings
  • Use certification guides to assess team member knowledge and performance according to procedural standards
  • Complete certification sign-offs
  • Use LE (Learning Event) Status Report in TRAIN to monitor for recertification due dates and maintain team member certifications statuses
  • Verify team members receive and understand Inbox notifications and ECNs (Engineering Change Notifications)
  • Maintain Area Documents and Training Materials

  • Ensure training materials are up to date ( certification guides and training aids)
  • Address Training and Performance Issues

  • Inform supervisor of any issues in a timely manner
  • Ensure issues are addressed appropriately and in a timely manner
  • Assist supervisor in gathering feedback
  • Follow and enforce company, department, and area policies and procedures
  • Ensure safety and security procedures are followed by all team members
  • Set a positive example for team members
  • Work with and support decisions made by other shifts and areas
  • Contribute to a Safe and Compliant Work Environment

  • Identify and promptly report hazards
  • Follow safety procedures and area work rules (including use of proper PPE - Personal Protective Equipment, energy isolation, and chemical safety)
  • Operate and maintain equipment and tools within manufacturer and company guidelines
  • Use proper lifting techniques and work in an ergonomically correct manner
  • Operational and Adminstrative Roles

  • Monitor ESD Check
  • Assist supervisor in daily operations
  • Shift Admin paperwork (eg e-claim,MC submission/claim, weekly personal change update,shift strength etc)
