Job Title: Senior Consultant – SAP FICO
Reporting to: Head of Business Unit
Supervises: NA
Purpose Statement:
The Senior Consultant is expected to have a deep understanding of, and primary responsibility for providing expertise in, Finance and Controlling (FICO) to effectively integrate SAP Solutions into the clients' business environments to achieve agreed results. The Senior Consultant is assigned to deliver tangible, sustainable, effective and quality SAP-related business solutions for new implementations, ongoing customer support and, implementation of additional functionality.
Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs)
• Provide consulting services to clients in an efficient and effective manner, based on technical expertise and experience
• Act as subject matter expert in Finance and Controlling
• Delivery of workable solution, with primary focus on SAP Finance and Controlling (FICO), and integration with other modules, to meet clients' business requirements
• Act as primary resource accountable for FICO deliverables. Carry out all phases of the project, from Business Blueprint (including detailed design), Realisation (including Configuration, Data Migration, Testing & Training), to Final Preparation & Cutover/Go Live support, and Transition to Support:
– Run and facilitate workshops to carry out Business Analysis and detailed design of Business Solutions
– Define business goals, scope of work and scope of change initiatives; outline and translate specification of business requirements (FRICE functional specifications); and provide solutions to a level that enables effective delivery of agreed scope of work or changes
– Configure the system to meet design and business requirements
– Perform unit testing on all processes (embracing planning, design, management, execution and test scripts) and provide assistance and issue resolution for System Integration and User Acceptance testing using appropriate techniques that conform to agreed project standards
– Assist with Data Migration including preparation, guidance to customers, writing upload programs, and loading data
– Facilitate logical integration testing with other related SAP modules and interfaces in order to verify end-to-end business process
– Develop (embracing planning, design & documentation) and execute training as required
– Carry out applicable Change Management Processes as pre-defined by project management
– Prepare and conduct project handover to Support Consultant
• Apply and utilise Industry and Business Best Practice knowledge and tools
• Adhere to corporate standard, security guidelines and sustainability, and deliver within time constraints
• Identify sales opportunities at existing customers and communicate internally to management team. Support presales effort as needed in response to proposals, and conduct demonstrations and presentations
• Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions with colleagues
Key Performance Measures (KPM)
• Ability to define solution to meet customer requirement
• Established experience working on customer sites managing and delivering quality technical services against formal service levels and timeframes
• Strong demonstrated presentation and facilitation skills:
– Confidence in presenting to, and discussing solutions with, various audiences and groups of different sizes
– Experience in running and facilitating workshops
• Proven ability to support FICO pre-sales activities including:
– Preparation of solution marketing content
– Preparation of sales proposals and statement of work documents including project resource plans and effort estimates
– Carry out systems demonstrations
• Capable in building, establishing and maintaining trust, and strong, productive and effective relationships, including with clients, and ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholder groups and individuals
• Ability to provide leadership and mentoring
Qualifications & Certifications
• Relevant tertiary qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree/Accounting Qualification
• Certified in SAP FI or SAP CO
Critical Knowledge, Skills & Experience
• Qualification and experience as subject matter expert specialising in SAP Finance and Controlling (FICO).
Must have proven depth of skill, knowledge and expertise in:
– GL (including New GL and Document Splitting), AR, AP, Fixed Asset, Banking and integration knowledge on OTC and P2P processes. Also experience on account determination and intercompany transactions
– CO-PA, CO-PCA, Cost Center and Internal Order accounting and product costing experience
• Prerequisites include:
– 9-10 years of SAP implementation experience
– Multiple end-to-end FICO implementation experience (3-5 large projects or 7-10 medium-sized projects)
– Understanding of country-specific legal and regulatory requirements
– Implementation experience using ASAP or Activate methodology
– Ability to closely collaborate with Developers, writing Functional Specs and testing Forms, Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements and Workflows
– Ability to take full ownership and responsibility for the stream deliverables, including integration points with other modules and teams
• Outstanding functional knowledge and gap analysis experience; detailed understanding of business operations to ensure the best solutions are provided to our customers
• Passion for quality and demonstrated high standards of service delivery
• Strong issues resolution experience with excellent analytical, conceptual, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills:
– Demonstrated ability to extract, scope and document requirements and translate these into technical specifications
