Description

1) A resident engineer that is responsible to work closely with CIMB Bank, IBM and the contracted application support party for problem determination and resolution for IBM Z (mainframe) environment
2) Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
3) A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in system administration in the IBM Z (mainframe) environment.

4) Hands-on experience with z/OS technologies, ability to perform basic MVS BCP, perform POR & IPLC processes, JES programming, VTAM/IP, TSO, ISPF, RACF, DFSMS, SMP/E, Unix System Services (USS).

5) Perform overall daily system checking and monitoring for mainframe operating environment - CPU, disk utilization, capacity and system usage monitoring.
6) Determine severity of the problem and invoke necessary escalation to CIMB and/or IBM appropriate personnel.
7) Coordinate activity related to scheduled/unscheduled part replacements in the rare event of faulty reason.
8) Involve in planning of any activity related to hardware and operating system for products
9) Coordinate and manage problem resolution for all CIMB logged issues as a whole.
10) Conduct monthly review meeting on hardware and operating system status, call history, firmware version upgrade recommendations and product life cycle planning.
