    Description

    Press and Playout

    • The Playout engineer reports to the Playout senior engineer on a 12 hours shift basis.
    • Shift duties are based on task bound Playout operation and each dedicated engineer will handle specific role.

    Responsibilities

    The responsibilities of Playout Engineer are:

    • Monitor all Playout channels status on Multiviewer. Monitor for any alarm for any on air video/audio issues.
    • Check and monitor all playout recovery related system.
    • First level recovery and decision making when there are major issues where the Senior Playout Engineer is not present. React for any on-air issue.
    • Execute live event switching - Coordinate with Engineering Team and MCR for live events switching and transmission.
    • Escalate any on air issue to relevant parties after performed recovery.
    • Process and execute all last minute clips and playlist.
    • Random check for all TX & TX + 1 playlist.
    • To highlight and follow through all operation issues. End to end follow up.
    • Maintain and monitor lead hours and Playout operation related server space.
    • Receive, process and verify the animation request if required.
    • Plan, prepare and execute all necessary Contingency Plan for any Corrective Maintenance activity.
    • EPG changes after office hours/in case of over run or under run of Live Event are to be performed upon request by higher management (i.e. Channel managers/PD).
    • Play the role of a gatekeeper for zero material on air discrepancies (material content, technical standard and program schedules).
    • Ensure all schedules are downloaded and received within the dateline.

    Qualifications

    Degree holder in relevant engineering field or related disciplines. Malaysia citizens preferred.
