    As the Finance Manager, you play an instrumental role in ensuring timely and accurate completion of closing, audit and other financial exercises, monthly management reporting and forecasting, with a view to achieving the Company's long-term business objectives.

    You will be working closely with stakeholders to develop key performance metrics, and trends to drive improvement for the business and to provide key analytics on financial performance. You will also be expected to perform a review of existing processes to enhance efficiency and changes where necessary.

    Responsibilities:

    • Oversee financial accounting, reporting and analysis for Malaysia, Australia and Philippines entities, and work with the group finance team on group consolidation.
    • Ensure the timely submission and reporting of month-end closings across the entities that you are responsible for.
    • Provide the management team with business insights and analysis.
    • Partner closely with the management team and group finance team to lead budgeting, cash forecasting and managing working capital.
    • Create financial models to review and improve business performance and highlight potential risks.
    • Oversee financial transactions and close potential opportunities for fraud and financial leakage.
    • Assist the various business units to understand financial drivers pertaining to their businesses and enable them to plan and optimize.
    • Identify, prioritize and deliver process improvement to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
    • Keep updated on the latest developments in financial regulatory standards across all the organizational businesses and regions, implementing control and ensuring financial processes and structures are followed.
    • Work with the group finance team on the full spectrum of finance and corporate activities including financial and management reporting, portfolio review, cash flow management, treasury and taxation matters.
    • Any other ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the company.

    Requirements

    • Minimum Bachelors in Accounting/Finance and professional qualifications (CPA, CFA).
    • Minimum 6 years of experience in FP&A, as a financial controller or as a professional accountant for a large organization.
    • Strong Accounting background and a good understanding of local financial reporting standards, local tax rules, GST principles and compliance and reporting requirements
    • Logical, procedural and analytical problem solver – tackles problems based on accurate and logical identification of underlying factors/causes and understands implications from all points of view.
    • Has a partnering mindset – effective stakeholder management skills and able to connect with stakeholders across the organization to build trust and close relationships.
    • Leader – Delegate, coach and motivate the finance team
    • Self-starter – Independently manage the regular deliverables and proactively identify where to invest more time and problem-solving without requiring step-by-step guidance
