Job Summary
The Assistant SOC Manager is responsible for the daily tactical operations of the SOC ensuring smooth shift execution strict adherence to SLAs and high-quality incident handling.- Operational Execution & Shift Management Manage day-to-day 24/7 SOC scheduling shift rosters and handover processes to ensure zero coverage gaps Monitor real-time SOC performance against SLAs Response Time Triage Time and ensure ticket quality control Enforce existing security playbooks and identify gaps in current workflows for the SOC Manager to review Serve as the immediate escalation point for operational issues before they reach the SOC Manager.
- Incident Response Coordination Tactical Act as the Incident Commander for routine and medium-severity security incidents Supervise the boots-on-the-ground containment and eradication activities during active threats Review post-incident reports from analysts to ensure technical accuracy before they are finalized for clients Assist in proactive threat hunting campaigns by assigning tasks to Threat Hunters and tracking progress.
