    Job Description

    Responsibilities
    • Assist in the preparation of the actuarial datasets and maintenance of database.
    • Assist in the reserving of insurance liabilities and the preparation of reserving reports for local statutory purposes.
    • Assist with the monitoring and analysis of claims experience against reserving and pricing assumptions
    • Assist in another ad-hoc analyses as required.
    • Coordinate with different departments to understand and gain insight into the observed experience.
    Qualifications

    Requirements:
    • Relevant undergraduate degree or higher e.g Mathematics, Actuarial, Statistics, Computer Science(s) etc with good grades or in the process of taking exams to become a qualified actuary
    • At most 2 years of actuarial working experience
    • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply
    • Prior work experience or internship experience in the General Insurance will be an added advantage
    • Familiarity with common actuarial techniques and models
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, R or other popular statistical/data packages
    • Ability to think critically and work autonomously
    • Ability to work as part of a team as well as take responsibility for his/her individual contribution
    • Effective time management and strong communication skills
    • Positive work attitude with focus on continuous improvement
