My name is Benny Chan, currently 23. I would like to express my interest in applying for the finance related work in your company. I believe that my degree in Bachelor of Business (Honours) Finance & Economics from Taylor's University has prepared me for this position. I am self-motivated, determined, and adaptable, I can bend and break habits to develop quickly. My internship at Bakertilly Corporate Advisory gave me the skills to work with top merger and acquisition specialists. During the 10-week internship, I gained a passion for corporate advisory and realised that finance is my actual calling.

My internship taught me Price Purchase Allocation (PPA), Fair Opinion Analysis, Fair Market Value, and Due Diligence. Since M&A are client-specific and non-linear, I have learned the need of critical thinking. There is no one-size-fits-all situation. For instance, Price to book multiple is unsuitable for valuing a Fintech company since it is based on the value of net assets and net liabilities at a single point in time and does not account for future earnings. It values heavy assets better. Hence, Relative Valuation Approach (RVA) is used. RVA compares a company's expected trading multiple to comparable companies to evaluate its financial worth.
