Chan Suet Kay

 I am Suet Kay and currently finished my second year of a degree at UCSI University.  My current aspiration is to learn as much as possible in all aspects. I believe by joining this company can provide me with the best springboard to move forward in this direction. I am aware that there is an excellent opportunity provided for this internship role, and I will be able to gain hands-on experience alongside an experienced mentor right from the beginning. I believe I will do well in this job if given proper training. I am keen to express my excitement to utilize my existing knowledge to contribute towards and learn from this company. 

For the past 4 months of my first internship period at Broadway Engineering And Trading in 2020, the job scope given to me were cleaned up and inserted services to the drawings, AutoCAD drafting drawings, site supervision, site photographer, documentary works as well as tenders and quotation. Throughout these 4 months , I have learned a lot of knowledge in the contractor which was not taught in the classroom such as the legends of the drawings, the procedure of a project for a contractor company, documentation of the contractor field etc. This can’t be done without the help and guidance of the stuff and supervisor in accomplishing all the tasks given. Meanwhile , I have gained  good time management while few tasks were delegated at the same time during whole internship period .

First quarter of 2021, I worked as an intern at Henikwon Corporation. While there, I worked under research and development department. My task included making 3D models and engineering drawings using AutoCAD and Solidworks. I was assigned to a few types of Highbar Busduct assembly drawing projects by my manager. Besides, I was exposed contemporary manufacturing processes and  assists my manager on temperature and IP (Ingress Protection) testing on busduct. Throughout these 4 months, I have gained knowledge on manufacturing processes, temperature and IP testing process, get to know name of all parts of busducts and different levels of assembly to create new Highbar Busduct.  Very greatful to my manager for giving weekly meetings concerning the job scoop and the distribution of job scoop to make sure the project is completed on time

In my second year of study, one of my assignments was to complete a group project about the fabrication and design of the electrical bicycle. During the process, I gained good analytical skill by gathering information and performed a detailed analysis to produce quality and relevant information for the assignment. I prepared materials and provided a site and tools for the assignment. During the assignment, I am able to work well with my team members and I always contribute ideas to the group. Regular discussions were held with team members in order to follow up closely on the assignment progress. Fortunately, our hard work paid off as we received good comments from the lecturer. I have also gained good time management skills when I need to complete different assignments within the provided time. I truly enjoyed the challenges brought to me while handling these assignments.
