Christina Nur Amelia

Good day to you! My name is Christina Nur Amelia, and I am looking for a job opportunity that allows me to utilize my skill, and passion for the benefit of your company. I have strong command of both English & Malay and I enjoy writing poems as well as article pieces which are most inspiring, educational, and engaging at the same time. I have experience working as a Copywriter, Translator, English Novel Writer, as well as a Freelance Subeditor. My long-term career goal is to be a full fledge Sub-Editor & Freelancer who writes inspiring stories that could transform the lives of people. I believe with my innate skill in writing coupled with my interest for Sub-editing, I believe I would be able to achieve what I ought to achieve as my long term career goals. 

When I first hopped into the working world, my job was mainly relating to the finance & administrative field of work. However, I have always enjoyed writing. Hence, as I have matured over the years. I began to realize that I need to step out of my comfort zone, and really make a conviction to do what I utmost enjoy doing. Deep in my heart, I know there is something ‘larger than life’ in my career path ahead. But I just didn't know how to go about it, due to fear of parental pressure and rejection. So finally in year 2016, I managed to make a breakthrough my doing my very first language related job - Freelance Subeditor under I Hub Concept Sdn Bhd. As apart from writing, I also enjoy editing & proofreading other people's work. So, finally when I got into the job, I really gave my best. I even gotten good reviews from the employer, and that gave me the confidence and motivation to start anew. However, life wasn't all that easy for me. I struggled a fair bit throughout my professional career due to parental pressure. However, I never really stopped trying, or let their criticisms hinder me from pursuing the job of my dream, the job that I believe will give me the ultimate satisfaction. In year 2019- 2020, I became a Language Translator under Natural Health Farm. I really liked the job. However, due to the situation of the Covid-19 pandemic at that time, I was retrenched from that job. Afterthat, I tried to upgrade my existing skill by taking up a digital marketing course under EIS. and later i kept applying for jobs relating to Copywriting. It was a struggle at first, but along the way I did learn from mistakes and bounced back. And today, I am here once again, fighting the same battle, but this time, fighting more boldly, and bravely, fighting with more conviction and confidence, because deep inside I know that regardless what the cost, it will be all worth it! 

I have previously studied in SMK Sri Permata during my secondary school years. After I have graduated from secondary school in year 2004, I went on to further my studies and done a Canadian International Matriculation Programme (CIMP) for about 2 years. In year 2011-2012, I had taken up two English Language Diplomas in Brickfields Asia College, Kuala Lumpur, include Diploma in TESOL as well as Diploma in Grammar & Literature.
