A few years ago, I discovered my passion for software engineering and began to use various resources online to teach myself how to code. Since then, I’ve picked up a few programming languages, familiarised myself with many CS concepts, and honed a range of important skills to make me job-ready. Especially, I’ve focused a lot of my attention on web development and have undertaken a number of personal projects to reinforce my learnings.

FOODIE (MEAN STACK)

Recipe App - Personal Project

January - February 2023

• Utilised various Angular features such as services, observables, forms, routings, pipes and much more to create the front-end. 
• Used a third party API to fetch recipe lists and recipe details. 
• Implemented fully functioning back-end with Bcrypt and JWT for authentication and MongoDB (Mongoose) to store users, favourited recipes and user-created shopping lists.

NALMDB (REACT)

Movie Rating App - Personal Project

November 2022 - January 2023

• Utilised React features such as Context API, Redux, Hooks and React Router, coupled with TailwindCSS to create the front-end. 
• Fully integrated the TMDB API into the app to allow asynchronous communication with TMDB servers to handle tasks such as user creation and authentication, ratings submission, user watchlists and favourite lists, etc.

NOTEWORTHY (PERN STACK)

Note-Taking App - Personal Project

July - August 2022

• Utilised various React features such as React Hooks, React Router and Context API, together with Sass, Axios, etc.
• Built a fully fledged backend with NodeJS, Express and Postgres with JWT and Bcrypt for authentication.
