Dr. Gomesh Nair is the Head of Postgraduate & Research Centre (PGRC) at UOW Malaysia KDU Penang University College. He has more than 15 years of experience in academic, research & management serving the public and private universities. He has received numerous national, international and excellence in research award from technology exhibitions such as ITEX, MTE, i-ENVEX, I-INOVA, BioMALAYSIA, PECIPTA, British Innovation Show (BIS) and Seoul International Invention Fair (SIFF). He obtained his Ph.D. in 2015 from Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) in the area of Solar Cell. His research interest includes renewable energy and power electronics. He has authored and co-authored more than 100 indexed research papers as well as chapters in book. He is a Professional Engineer (PEng) in the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM), a Chartered Engineer (CEng) in the Engineering Council of the UK, and a Senior Member of IEEE. He has supervised many undergraduates and postgraduates students to completion. He has received numerous government grants accumulating up to RM 1.6 Million. He currently administers the Research, Postgraduate, and Student Entrepreneurship programmes at UOW Malaysia KDU Penang University College.
