Hor Yeng Fong

A motivated and enthusiastic final year Food Science undergraduate seeking for an internship opportunity to gain practical experience while expanding my knowledge and skills in the food industry. I'm particularly passionate about food sustainability and food safety, and I am eager to channel this passion into creating positive change in the food industry.

I worked as a barista and kitchen helper at Yomie's Yogurt Summerton from December 2019 until September 2020. I was responsible for inventory management to optimise supply levels in the store, and one of my tasks was to oversee the stock of all types of fruits, yogurt, and ancillary supplies such as cups and straws. I also conducted routine stock counts according to a regular inventory check schedule before compiling and submitting the stock reports to my employer.

Besides, I was also responsible for ensuring the accurate closure of registers at the end of each business day. I managed the financial transactions, conducted the store’s closing procedures during shifts, and verified that all registers were balanced while cross-referencing with the recorded sales in the system before submitting the daily financial report.
