Khairunsofia Khulail De Faisal

Hello there! My name is Khairunsofia Binti Khulail De Faisal. I am 24 years old and live in Shah Alam, Selangor.  I am a highly motivated and dedicated individual with a passion for civil engineering. I hold a Bachelor Degree of Engineering (Hons) in Civil from Universiti Teknologi MARA Shah Alam, where I graduated with a CGPA of 3.51 in August 2023. 

My practical experience further enhances my academic achievements. As an Engineering Student Intern at MINCONSULT SDN BHD in the Highway Division, I had the privilege of assisting senior engineers on impactful projects such as the C&S Tok Bali Port External Infrastructure Works and the SUKE (Sungai Besi - Ulu Kelang Elevated Expressway) Section B. My responsibilities ranged from designing road geometry using Civil3D software to conducting inspections and contributing to pavement design.

Additionally, I had the opportunity to intern at DNP Consult SDN BHD in the Infrastructure Division. During this time, I honed my skills in sewerage and drainage design, water demand calculations, and water tank design. My hands-on experience allowed me to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world engineering challenges.

Beyond my engineering pursuits, I have gained valuable customer service experience as a Part-Time Sales Assistant at Full Binary Sdn. Bhd and Just Group Sdn. Bhd. These roles taught me the importance of effective communication, attention to detail, and meeting targets.

During my time at university, I undertook a remarkable Final Year Project that delved into the realm of concrete innovation. Titled "Compressive and Flexural Strength of Normal Concrete Mixed With 0.5% And 1% Of Bamboo Fibre as Additional Material," this project showcased my commitment to exploring innovative solutions. I conducted meticulous research and hands-on experiments to evaluate the feasibility and performance of incorporating bamboo fiber into concrete mixtures.

In addition, I engaged in the challenging yet rewarding Integrated Design Project (IDP), where I collaborated seamlessly with a diverse team. Together, we developed a comprehensive structural design and water supply system for a 4-storey Hotel Budget project. My contributions encompassed various aspects of structural analysis, including slabs, columns, beams, shear walls, and pad footings.
