Mir Hamed Hakem Zadeh

I was born in Rasht (Iran) in 1982. I received my Ph.D. in Renewable Energy in 2020 from the Solar Energy Research Institute (SERI) - UKM (Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia). In 2006 I joined the National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC), where I served as a pipeline safety technical expert. In 2007 I joined Iran International Hydropower Association, where I served as a technical manager of the design and installation of the pipeline, water turbine, and mechanical equipment in Masjed Soleyman power plant projects. In 2008, I joined Iran National Petrochemical Company, where I served as a technical office manager of the design and installation of pipelines and gas turbine in the Ilam project. In 2013, I was selected as the senior expert of the South Korean Embassy for investigation and quality control of ongoing and completed air-conditioning projects in Malaysia. In 2021, I joined UKM (Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia). I holds a postdoctoral position, where I investigates research activities in the field of solar adsorption air-conditioning systems. my research is in the field of renewable energy, with a special focus on solar thermal energy, solar photovoltaic, air-conditioning system, and solar concentrating systems.

During Ph.D., I worked on a BIPV systems project and I published a Q1 paper to determine the optimum angles of PV modules to optimize the performance of BIPV with regard to the tropical climate of Malaysia. In addition, I have written one chapter about the BIPVT system in the book '' Reducing Climate Change Effect Using Photovoltaic (PV) in Power Supply Especially in the Built Environment ‘’. During my Postdoctoral, I worked on the project of the Malaysian Public Works Department '' Design and Development of Solar Adsorption Air Conditioning System for Government Buildings Towards Sustainable Energy Usage '', which can be developed in industrial, residential, public, and commercial sectors. I have published two Q1 papers about the techno-economic assessment of solar adsorption and absorption cooling systems. In addition, I have written one chapter in the book '' Solar Thermal Conversion Technologies for Industrial Process Heating''. In this chapter, I have written the techno-economic potential of integrating solar thermal energy into an industrial process, while reviewing industrial solar process thermal applications in four climate zones, and eventually, I published a new scenario for the impact of the solar thermal systems integrated into the industrial process on the roadmap of renewable energy "The Regional Climate Scenario (RCS)". I can teach mechanical engineering and renewable energy courses such as Heat and Mass Transfer, Fluid Mechanics, Engineering Design, etc. I have experience working with mechanical engineering and solar energy software, which can help me better analyse the requirements of this position.
