I am a proactive and achievement-oriented professional with over 9 years of experience in General Surgery and Academia. I have excellence in pre-operative planning, scheduling and coordination, determination of appropriate procedures, and procurement of supplies and equipment.

Currently associated with Hospital Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) as Clinical Lecturer & General Surgeon and Expertly manage General Surgery Services, including pre-operative planning, scheduling and coordination, determination of appropriate procedures, and procurement of supplies and equipment.

I am a forward-thinking person with proficiency in General & Laparoscopic Surgery with hands-on experience in performing almost all GI Surgical Operations, Endoscopic, Laparoscopic, and Minimally Invasive Surgery in Upper Gastrointestinal Surgery, and comprehensive medical knowledge in Clinical Surgery to the medical students in both formal and informal settings utilizing various teaching methods and aids, Upper Gastrointestinal Surgical missions on multiple occasions and played an active role in performing and assisting in major surgical cases and have effectively lowered the need for referral abroad.

General, Bariatric & Minimally Invasive Surgeon

• Performing Diagnostic and Therapeutic Endoscopic Procedures for gastrointestinal conditions including open surgery and advanced laparoscopic surgery. Conducting multi-disciplinary meetings between clinical services to discuss complex and difficult cases for the better care of the patients
• Supervising junior and surgical trainees in daily clinical work and Continuous Medical Education. Conduct clinical research to develop and test new surgical technique frontiers that will improve the surgical and patients’ general clinical outcome
• Performing Bariatric Surgery including Laparoscopic Sleeve Gastrectomy (LSG), Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass (RYGB), One-anastomosis Gastric Bypass (OAGB) and sleeve plus procedures

Doctor of General Surgery (UKM) 2019

General Surgical Training Programme for Malaysian Surgeons under the Conjoint Board for General Surgery Specialist Training comprising of Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), Universiti Malaya (UM), Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Malaysia (UIAM), KPJ Health, Ministry of Health Malaysia. 

Training were given via apprenticeship and exit exams for quality control. Candidates are required to rotate into various Surgical Specialty for a good overview of how good surgeons should function; inclusive of Colorectal Surgery, Hepatobiliary Surgery, Breast & Endocrine Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Upper GI Surgery, Neurosurgery, Paediatrics Surgery, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Urology, Plastic Surgery, and a short stint in Acute & Intensive Care Unit. 

Within these rotations, candidates are expected to fulfill a minimum requirement before allowed to proceed to the next rotation which a structured 4 years programme.
