Context : Development for the industrialization of the multi-purpose bar.

Objective : The idea is to provide users with efficient use by using only the multi-purpose to access the three different pieces of equipment. This is practical especially for those who do not have their own gym because it is compact and removable. Normally there are free spaces in the specialized room, so thanks to the simple mounting system, this bar can be mounted there without having to dismantle the other apparatus being set up.

Tasks : 

1. Analysis of improvements to adapt to the product.
2. Analysis of customer needs by producing the specifications of the product to be manufactured.
3. Search for components respecting the budget and being as standard as possible.
4. Brainstorming design ideas and eventually making the decision for the most compatible choice.
5. Justification of the chosen solution by calculation before realizing the final design of the product.
6. CAD creation on Solid Works.
7. Assembly of the products ordered in the workshop.
8. Manufacturing of certain parts in workshop in order to have a clearer idea of the solution to be adopted.

Results :

1. At the end of the internship, I was only able to produce the CAD of the product and not its prototype due to the lack of the component.
2. The bar will be able to be used in three modes of operation; high bar, uneven bar and rebounder.
3. All drawings of the bar components to be manufactured are well made and ready for the manufacturing order.

Assistant Engineer Intern of Building Planning Office

Context : Studies of mechanical building structures

Objective : Studying building structures, particularly with regard to renovation such as addition/destruction of the wall, installation of photovoltaic panels on the roof etc.

Tasks : 

1. Verification by calculation of purlins (metal-wood).
2. Dimensioning calculation of wooden floor beams and metal beams.
3. Dimensioning of reinforced concrete structures.
4. Drawing plans and details on Auto CAD.
5. Visits to nearby construction sites, for example those located in Marseille.
6. Realization of calculation notes and small reports which consist of a tracking plan, hypotheses of mission conditions, and the associated calculations.
7. Beam deformation simulation.
8. Validation of the structure of the existing building before doing the renovation.
9. Explanatory decision for the type of metal beam chosen.

Results : Since my internship did not have a specific mission, I made a total of 85 calculation notes for the different types of project. All the projects are finished for the design and calculation part, but it can be resumed in case of modification desired by the customers.

Trainee Draftsman

Context : Improvement of the water network system in the factory

Objective : Survey of the water path to verify the correct use of the type of water for the various workstations in the factory. In addition, it was to optimize water consumption for each area of the factory.

Tasks :

1. Realization of the synoptic of the system of the treated and untreated water networks in the factory.
2. Study of chemicals used for water treatment.
3. Flow calculations for the different workstations.
4. Understanding of the reasons of the reduced water flows.
5. Study on the different pipe materials in the factory.

Results : 

1. The plans of the water path in the factory are updated.
2. Water consumption in the factory is optimized for the different workstations.
3. Reparation or replacement of valves and pipes which were broken.
