Nurathirah Najihah Jaya

I'm Athirah, a 24-year-old graduate in applied chemistry with one year of experience in the oil and gas industry. I bring a strong passion for continuous learning and a proven ability to quickly acquire new skills and knowledge with the right guidance.

As an individual with a passion for laboratory testing and experience working in fast-paced production environments, I am confident that my skills and experience align well with the requirements of this role. I have a strong background in testing products to specification within production priorities and deadlines, as well as experience in carrying out analytical testing during my internship in ALS Technichem (M) Kota Kinabalu.

Furthermore, during my 1 year of experience in Petronas Floating LNG company I had the privilege of overseeing day-to-day laboratory operations. This includes coordinating with contractors and suppliers, addressing technical issues, and establishing and revising laboratory procedures and documentation. Through this experience, I developed strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, while maintaining a positive attitude and a commitment to produce high-quality work.

I graduated with a first-class degree in Applied Chemistry from Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS in 2021, with a minor in management. During my studies, I had the opportunity to work on several research projects that sharpened my skills in data analysis, experimental design, and report writing. One notable project involved using jackfruit peels and zeolite to remove heavy metals and 80% of dye in river water samples around Perak.
