Priya Nathan

My name is Pathmapiriya (Priya) and I graduated in 2015 from Roehampton University with a Bachelor of Arts in Education (Supporting Teaching and Learning). While pursuing my degree, I completed my practicum as a teaching assistant and non-core subject teacher in an IB international school where my passion for teaching grew. I am currently pursuing my dream as a professional leader and teacher who inspires others to become a passionate teacher.

I begin my teaching career as a full fletched teacher at Fairview International School in Penang and I carried my role as a committed and attentive PYP teacher with the ability to communicate effectively with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities. Later, I pursued my teaching career as a shadow teacher for a child that was diagnosed with mild autism and dyslexia at Straits International School Penang. Currently, I am working at Wesley Methodist School Penang (International), an international school driven by Christian Mission School ethos and values. I have taught Cambridge Primary English for Stage 4 and 5 students and currently teaching Stage 6 students while preparing them for the upcoming Cambridge Primary Checkpoint Examination. I also hold the responsibility as the English Subject Coordinator at WMSPI where I help train new teachers and assist my colleagues with lesson planning, teaching and assessing learning.
