SITI NURKHALIDAH HUSAINY

A born leader, enthusiast and proactive postgraduate student from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) with considerable experience in mapping, site investigation and business development. She is geoscience graduate that seeking opportunities for career growth and to enhance educational and professional skills in a stable and dynamic workplace to arise as a glorious geologist in multinational geology and oil and gas sector.

She had experienced as a high committee for multiple events, she is also able to coordinate task effectively and communicate with people in all backgrounds. She strongly believes that with a right platform and exposure, she would fulfill her potential and deliver greatly to the industries.

Previously, I worked as a Junior Geologist at Malvus Sense Sdn. Bhd. before pursuing my study in Geophysics at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). With this company, I have developed extensive experience with the right research and process. Experience has taught me how to build strong relationships with all departments in an organization. I have the ability to work within a team as well as cross-team.

At Malvus Sense Sdn. Bhd., I have played a role as Junior Geologist in project Penyelenggaraan Cerun di Semenanjung Malaysia. In this position, I have used software such as ArcGIS, Adobe Illustrator, and Global Mapper in data collection and analysis of slopes. Furthermore, the use of ArcGIS in this project is to digitize all the assets and data that were collected from slope inspection and saved them in a format database that is efficiently used to track the detail of the slope. On the other hand, I also played a key role as a team leader for a team site in a Rock Slope Mapping where all the geological features and data of potential of the hazardous slope are collected and presented by using ArcGIS and Adobe Illustrator. 

I have dealt with some geophysics and remote sensing method for my master degree's thesis at USM which is related to studying a landslide in Penang Island. Next, I believe that I have the ability to take on a fast-paced role like this thanks to my quick learning skills. For instance, in my previous research, I was to learn how to use a new step in remote sensing and geophysics method for landslide identification on Penang Island. Although I was quite familiar with ArcGIS and Envi software, this was still a huge undertaking. By using various resources, such as YouTube, journals, books, and my network of geology friends, I was able to get the basics of the methods used within the time required. My supervisors and examiners were pleased with how promptly I grasped the new information.
