Wan Baqir

I'm a goal oriented, determined and ambitious person with a passion for agricultural informatics. I graduated as an agricultural engineer student from Universiti Putra Malaysia in November 2022 and I am happy to be part of the agricultural industry. My goal is to improve the use of IR 4.0 technologies within agricultural sector in order to provide a more sustainable agricultural practices.

I worked as a Research Assistant at UPM, focusing on the treatment of oil palm trees. I supported my project leader by assisting in fieldwork and laboratory experiments. My main task was analyzing data from oil palm trees infected with diseases. This helped us understand the impact of the diseases and find effective treatment methods. I gained skills in data analysis, research methods, and scientific reporting. Overall, my experience equipped me with knowledge in agricultural research and plant pathology.

I have a Bachelor's degree in Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering from UPM, which I completed from 2019 to 2022 with a CGPA of 3.528. Prior to that, I earned a Diploma in Agricultural Engineering from UPM, where I studied from 2016 to 2019 and achieved a CGPA of 3.380.
