    About CorpsAfrica

    Founded in 2011, CorpsAfrica provides the opportunity for Africans to serve as volunteers in their own countries, along the lines of the Peace Corps model. We train young, college-educated Africans in Community-Led Development, Human-Centered Design, and Asset-Based Community Development and send them to live in rural, high-poverty communities for one year and facilitate and support communities to design and implement small-scale, high-impact projects. CorpsAfrica aims to promote a culture of public service in Africa by giving participants the opportunity to apply their education, skills, and energy toward helping their fellow citizens overcome extreme poverty.

    Overview Of The Position

    CorpsAfrica seeks a motivated, organized, and detail-oriented Training Support Associate to join our dynamic training team, focusing on supporting training initiatives across multiple countries in Africa. Reporting to and working closely with the Chief Training Officer, the Training Support Associate will play a vital role in ensuring the seamless execution of training programs, providing logistical support, and contributing to the development of high-quality materials and document management of the same. This position requires a highly energetic, thoughtful, and perceptive person capable of relating to individuals at all levels–and includes opportunities for growth within the organization.

    CLASSIFICATION: Full-time

    SALARY AND BENEFITS: Salary is $10,000–$15,000 USD per year. CorpsAfrica offers a comprehensive benefits package including employer-paid medical insurance and paid time off commensurate with the home base office.

    LOCATION: Up to 50% remote, but based in one of the countries CorpsAfrica currently has a program with up to 50% travel to different country offices

    REPORTS: Chief Training Officer

    Specific Responsibilities:

    • Training Delivery
      • Support the delivery of training for Volunteers as needed providing support to different trainers and facilitating specific training sessions
      • Support the Regional Training Managers in the training of staff, including for new country programs
      • Assist in the coordination of virtual training sessions
      • Provide training delivery support to global training events
      • Participate in debrief sessions after training programs to identify strengths and areas for improvement
    • Training Materials Development and Management
      • Work closely with trainers, Volunteers, and country staff across all offices to gather insights, identify training needs and requirements for training materials development
      • Update existing training materials based on recommendations and best practices, including ensuring branding on all training materials is consistent with CorpsAfrica branding guidelines
      • Contribute to and support the development of training materials in collaboration with the Regional Training Managers, and Training Managers/Officers at the country level
      • In collaboration with Regional Training Managers and Training Managers/Officers, ensure training materials are tailored to the unique needs and cultures of different countries
      • Liaise with Volunteer Liaisons and country Training Managers/Officers to identify case studies on HCD/ABCD that can be used in training
      • Organize and maintain the centralized repository of training materials on Google Drive
      • Regularly upload, update, and maintain training materials ensuring version control and accessibility for all global training team members
      • Support the management and maintenance of other training-related system or technology
    • Training Logistics and Administrative Support
      • Support the planning, coordination, and organization of all global training events
      • Organize logistics related to global training events including venue identification, equipment set up, accommodation, and travel coordination/arrangements
      • Support the review and revision of training reports at both the GSO and country office level
      • Assist in the development and implementation of training evaluation processes
      • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge
    • Other responsibilities as assigned

    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree from a recognized University is required.
    • Minimum of 3 years work experience in training and/or teaching is required.
    • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
    • Excellent writing and editing skills.
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with people from diverse cultures.
    • Excellent skill in using technology, especially Google Workspace.
    • Demonstrated initiative, adaptability, integrity, and judgment.
    • A demonstrated passion and commitment to youth leadership and community-led development.
    • Excellent command of English, additional language abilities in French are a plus.
    • Knowledge of human-centered design and asset-based community-led development is a plus.
