- Conduct on-site visits, analyze energy usage patterns, and provide accurate and compelling proposals to meet customer requirements.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders in the solar industry.
- Act as a trusted advisor, providing technical expertise, answering questions, and addressing concerns throughout the sales process.
- Prepare and deliver persuasive presentations, product demonstrations, and proposals to effectively communicate the benefits and financial returns of solar PV systems.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing terms while ensuring customer satisfaction and profitability.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, technological advancements, government incentives, and regulations related to solar energy.
- Continuously gather market intelligence to identify potential competitive advantages and improve sales strategies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of leads, sales activities, and customer interactions using CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless project handover and customer satisfaction post-sales.
- Coordinate with the technical team, project managers, and installation crews to ensure smooth project implementation.
- Foster a collaborative work environment by sharing knowledge and best practices with colleagues.
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, environmental science, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in sales or business development, preferably in the solar industry or renewable energy sector.
- Strong understanding of solar PV systems, their components, and associated technologies.
- Familiarity with relevant local, state, and federal solar energy policies, incentives, and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with customers and stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to analyze customer needs, provide tailored solutions, and close sales deals.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks, combined with highly disciplined approach is crucial for success in this role.
