    Description

    Job Description :

    Job Purpose

    • To enhance the profitability and risk returns of the MNC portfolio by delivering a comprehensive range of financial solutions & client coverage to 3 client sub-segments, namely Japanese, multinational companies, and Chinese.
    • To manage the asset quality of loan book size of more than RM2b portfolio, actively and effectively.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Oversee and manage a team of 10 senior and junior credit client managers, responsible for credit evaluation on corporate clients while marketing a range of GWB products and services (including loans, deposits, corporate finance, bonds, treasury, trade finance and cash management).
    • Proactively manage a portfolio of 89 borrowing groups comprising more than 120 MNC accounts, including keeping abreast with their latest development and identifying potential signs of asset deterioration, and where necessary, develop strategy to address asset quality issues.
    • Monitor P&L and risk returns of accounts portfolio and formulate strategies and action plans to drive income growth and enhance risk returns of the team's portfolio.
    • Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory framework/guidelines/Bank's policies and procedures.
    • Coach, motivate and continuously develop the team heads and client managers with the objective of equipping them with the right skills, attitude and knowledge to carry out their jobs effectively.
    • Build relationship and network with existing and prospective clients via constant engagement and promote the Bank's product and services, adding value by providing market and economic information to prospective client and building network with industry players and government and foreign trade chambers.
    • Work closely with CIMB's ASEAN counterparts and product partners to formulate account strategies and proactively cross-sell financial products within GWB division including corporate finance, bonds, FX, derivatives, cash management & trade finance products.

    KeyRequirements

    • Degree in related field with at least 20 years of experience in corporate and investment banking with a minimum of 5 years in leadership position in a Corporate Banking role.
    • Possess strong skills in credit analysis, loans recovery, people management and strategic planning.
    • Well-versed with rules and regulations and legal environment in the domestic landscape.
    • Able to spot business opportunities.
    • Has experience and in-depth understanding of the business culture and customs of clients based in Japan and/or China.
    • Effective business communication skills (speaking & writing) in Japanese and/or Mandarin.
