    JOB PURPOSE

    • Manage monthly financial closing and period end reporting activities in accordance with Zuellig
    • Group finance policies, local and international financial reporting standards, local tax rules, laws and regulations requirements, ensure timely and accurate submission of financial information and management accounts.
    • Understand, review and propose continuous improvements to the existing accounting and financial reporting processes, understand and identify financial process leakages and implementation of internal controls.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Primary responsibilities:

    • Monitor aging, review reconciliations and clearing of balanced sheet records and intercompany balances on a timely manner
    • Review and propose accounting and tax treatments in relation to areas of CAPEX, ROU, assets and liabilities, income and expenditures
    • Review month end closing journals on a timely manner to ensure completeness and accuracy of monthly management accounts
    • Review and approve full set accounts for sub-group entities
    • Review and manage monthly financial performance of business units
    • Review and monitor month-end and year-end closing activities and reporting packages
    • Managing corporate tax and indirect taxes submissions, statutory filing requirements and coordinate annual financial audit verification
    • Review and approve journals ensuring they are appropriately accounted for accordance to relevant policies and accounting/financial reporting standards

    Secondary responsibilities:

    • Review and develop local financial policies, procedures and operation financial internal controls
    • Propose process improvements in compliance with regional policies & procedures, updated local laws and regulations and accounting standards
    • Knowledge share and provide guidance to team members
    • Perform ad-hoc duties/projects as assigned

    JOB REQUIREMENT

    • Certified Charted Accountant with a professional accounting qualification (eg. ACCA, ICAEW,CPA, CIMA, MICPA) and/or an MIA member
    • Extensive financial management and financial reporting experience
    • Fundamentally strong in accounting, financial reporting standards (IFRS & MPERS), corporate and indirect taxes regulations & Companies Act knowledge
    • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
    • At least 5 year(s) of related working experience in this field is required
    • Good written and verbal communication in English
