The role will be part of a hybrid team of Data Scientists and Software Engineers and will contribute directly to the delivery of the Institutional Data & Analytics product roadmap.

This is the perfect role for an entry/mid-level Frontend Engineer who is excited to apply their technical skills to develop our data-driven web application on Google Cloud Platform with a focus on accessibility and usability.

If you are passionate about building customer focused solutions using best practice approach and the latest front-end technology, this role is for you.

• Good understanding of modern frontend architectures and design patterns (e.g., micro-frontend, webpack module federation)
• Strong JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS development skill
• Demonstrated experience in frontend development (preferably React)
• Ability to innovate and adapt to the latest development in software engineering.
• Excellent Git source control skills
• Creative technical problem solving and excellent debugging skills.
• Thorough understanding of software development techniques such as Test-Driven development and Continuous Delivery.

• Work with Data Scientists, Business Analysts and Product Owners to deliver data insight apps to customers.
• Liaise with business stakeholders and customers to workshop solutions.
• Utilizes tools and best practices to build, verify and deploy solutions in the most efficient ways.
• Follow the best practices around reviews, security, quality assurance and documentation.
• Follow continuous delivery practices to increase delivery speed.
• Provide ongoing support for platforms as required i.e., incident and problem management.
• Support delivery of key analytic initiatives
• Collaborate with other teams to explore new business initiatives

• Experience in using frontend prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, InVision, Adobe Sketch)
• Experience in developing data visualisation solution with chart libraries, displaying geospatial data on maps.
• Have a talent for crafting easily understood explanation for various audiences.
• Experience in one of the major cloud platforms
• Understanding of end-to-end architecture with emphasis on security and performance
