- Develop a plan for the acquisition and processing of all high importance partnerships and other external agents and delivers value to the product/solution development and sales channels .
- Assist with planning and implementing strategies to build and retain high value intermediaries to achieve production sales .
- Assist with the preparation of annual budgets for sales and expenses and managing of the budget .
- Develops and implements continuous improvement actions and alternatives for customer service and support .
- Ensure all compliance is adhered to in managing people and the provision of information, products and services to customers .
- Understanding of QBE and own area of expertise to identify key relationships that should be initiated or improved to achieve positive results; communicate and exchange information with potential partner areas to clarify benefits and potential problems .
- Develop strong relationships with the partners and other external agents in order to achieve high levels of commitment and participation in joint arrangements to maximize revenue growth .
- Review existing portfolios and recommend strategies for penetrate growth .
- Assess and recommend emerging partners or clients for suitability of incorporation into the business, in line with the collaboration with relevant internal stakeholders .
- Support the launch of new products and services .
- Motivate and develop the team by demonstrating good leadership behaviors and through the use of management best practice, to enable development of staff to support the achievement of business goals .
- Providing expertise and mentoring to assist the team development
- 10+ years relevant experience in general servicing and underwriting with at least 5 years in managerial capacity .
- Demonstrated planning, prioritization and organization skills .
- Professional qualification in insurance or related disciplines or degree holder preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of insurance sales/business development function.
